Not many people know the brand, klipsch, but it\’s a famous brand in Hi-Fi industry.
After doing lots of surveys and hearing test at Bestbuy and other 3C stores, I decided
to have this set.  I chose this speakers simply the price is affordable to me and I like
the sound it performs.  Before I chose this one, I also thought about Bose Companion 3
Series III, Altec Listening MX5021, and Harman Kardon SoundSticks II 2.1.  All these
speaks are good but I have to concern about my budget.  That why I chose it.  Let\’s back
to today\’s topic.

Why do I say that my neighbors are gonna kill me?  It\’s just a joke, because of
the powerful bass.  When I play my favorite classic music, Overture Solennelle
\’1812\’ by Tchaikovsky, I can feel the whole floor is shaking.  Thus, I can\’t use it
at mid-night, or my neighbors will come up and smash my speaker.  The sound
is still a little bit muffled.  I think it needs time to run-in.  Anyway, I love my new
speaker

been living in NY for 3 months, and I can hear horn everywhere everyday.  Mostly, Drivers
sound the horn because they\’re impatient with wait even though just few seconds.  See,
while I\’m writing this article, someone is sounding his horn and all the others follows him.

Anyway, it will be more convenient to have a SSN in U.S.A especially in New York.





     First of all, you have to get a part-time or full-time job om campus and go to Human Resource Office to fill out I-9 Form.  
At this moment, you need your I-20, passport, bank address, account number, if necessary, also take your check book with
you.  You will need information from above materials.  After you fill out I-9 form, officer of HR will give you two color sheet,
one is yellow, theother is pink.  Keep the yellow one for reference and bring the pink one back to your employer to get your
offer letter.  Once you get the offer letter, submit it to Office of International Students and Scholar(OISS), and fill out a
on-campus employee form which needs information from your offer letter.   Wait for three to five business day, and go back
to OISS to have your work authorization from school.  Bring these two letter to Social Security Number Administration Office
which has three office in NY, see detail below.

       The second step, Social Security Number Administration Office is similar to AIT.  You have to  have all materials that can
prove you are legal to work and need a SSN, such as two letters from school and employer, passport, I-90(a white small card
stapled on you passport when you enter the US), I-20.  You will have a SSN application in SSNA Office.  Fill it out and wait for
security check.  You must take off your jacket, belt, and take out  anything out from your pocket, and walk through a security
gate.  Then, take your stuff back and go to the counter.  Mostly, you willwait in a long line.  When it\’s your turn, go to the
counter and give your application, passport, I-20,offer letter to the officer.  While He/she is typing, he/she might ask you some
question about yourjob or some other things.  Then he/she will enter your information and print it out and ask you to read
through it.  If everything on the sheet is correct, sign on every page or correct mistakes andsign.  Before you leave, officer will
give you a reference sheet or receipt. then, you are done with the application process.  The only thing you can do is wait.  It
may take about two week to receive your SSN card.  If you didn\’t receive in two weeks, call or visit SSNA Office and check
status of your case with reference printed on your receipt.

     To complete the whole process, after receiving SSN card, bring it to HR office.  The officer willfill your SSN on your I-9 form
and copy your SSN card.  Thus, every things is done.  Congrats!  You are legal to work in the US.  Just a reminder, memorize
your SSN and don\’t enclose it to others unlessit\’s necessary.  Keep you SSN card in a safe place and don\’t put it in your wallet
for prevent identity theft which is serious in the US.

I think I did quite well in my exams, especially in courses I\’m interested in.

I\’m taking three courses this sermester, Principle of communication network
(EL 536), Internet architecture & protocol (EL 537) and Probability (EL 630).
Except for Probability, I\’ve got midterm mark for the other two courses.  For
EL 536, I got 92 points in total.  Average of this course is about 75 and number
of people who got over 90 is 24 over about 100 students.  It\’s quiet sad that
my mark is NOT included in top 15%, which means I have to study hard to get higher

score so that I have opportunity to earn an "A".  Similarily, it\’s also very sad that

I got only 89 in EL 537.  Average of this course is 80 and there are 15 people got

over 90, total amount of this course is 98.  In other words, I still don\’t get into top
15%.  Anyway, I might have few probability to get "A" in these two courses.  For

EL630, I have nothing to say.  I gave all I learned in undergraduate school back to

the professor after I passed that courses.  And I don\’t think I\’m studying Probability
but Calculous.
      Some of my friends might think that I\’m kind of hypocritical because I told them I
didn\’t do well in EL 537 and EL 630, but it\’s true I didn\’t lie about that.  Actually, I\’m
not that kind of people who always told others that he didn\’t study or prepare for exam,
and then get high mark.  It\’s not a shame to tell people I\’m studying.  Since I\’m not that

smart so it\’s reasonable to spend more time on studying.  Back to the exam. for some
questions in EL 537, I was really not sure about the answers, so I said "I didn\’t do well
in the test but the mark will be acceptable.".  I knew my answers were not 100% correct,
but quite close to what it chould be so my mark would depend on the professon.  For EL 630,
we\’ll see when I receive my mark on my poly in few days.  It will be a miracle if I got over 80.

      I really appreciate Prof. Chung and Prof. Hwang.  I learned a lot from their class so I have
such a good performance now.  I hope I will keep my motivation to study for all other exams
like now.

      By the way, the fianl is comming soon which begins at the end of this month untill one week
before Christmas.  Wish me luck.

有鑑於上一支手機SE K700i 已經接近壽終正寢的狀態

再加上eBay+M$前陣子屠殺小朋友不償命的30% off(在美國應該是華盛頓吧XD)

我就忍不住敗了新手機

算一算比在台灣買起來便宜了近一萬塊台幣, 所以還算蠻值得的

以下是手機使用了一個多星期才補拍的開箱照

使用了近一個月的心得

TP在硬體規格方面可以說是目前最強悍的機器了

整體操作上也還算流暢,一次開太多web還是會lag

用過VGA 螢幕後就不會想再回去用QVGA了

插上8G microSD後搖身一變成了 多媒體娛樂機

在搭地鐵或bus拿出來看Gundam 00或Sex and the city時2.8" VGA螢幕真是種享受

也可以放滿滿的mp3或是電子書在車上打發時間

我的Sony A808越來越少出現了…

GPS方面

定位還算快速, 不過裝了Garmin Mobile XT 5.xx版後

反應變的比較頓了,人已經過了路口, 可是螢幕顯示我人還沒過馬路

不過這應該是Garmin的問題, 期待下一版可以改善

整體而言目前還算滿意

今天中午很孤單的去麵店買午餐

點完餐後，站在櫃台旁等麵

突然發現地上有好幾張鈔票\"\"

看了看旁邊都沒人我就走過去把鈔票撿起來

很大聲了問店裡有沒有人掉錢

大家都用疑惑的眼神看著我卻沒人回我

我就把錢交給老闆，跟他說如果有人回來找錢就把錢還給他吧

這時候旁邊來了個老頭

他就說：鈔票上又沒寫名字，撿到了收起來就好，哪有人那麼傻撿到錢還不要的…(開始碎碎念)

我也沒多什麼，拿了麵就走了

其實不是很多錢，大概兩三千塊吧

只是不是我的錢就這樣收下，如果掉的人有急用怎麼辦呢?

小時候老師都會教我們要拾金不昧

但現在的價值觀好像變了…當前的蠅頭小利似乎比自己的道德更重要了

我真的老了吧…

之前有次在Eaton Center的廁所裡掉了皮夾

直到要去買午餐的時候才發現皮夾掉了

我就慌慌張張的跑回廁所找皮夾

就在我要衝進去的時候

有個老外叫住我，問我是不是掉了皮夾在廁所裡

我說是，他就很開心的跟我說：真是剛好，他正準備把這皮包送去service center

他說他把皮夾打開，看到裡面的ID是個亞洲人的，又正好看我往廁所裡衝

所以就攔了我

佩服阿…

我那天剛領了錢，皮夾裡至少有五六百塊(加幣)…

好在…人性還是善良的，不然我的損失就大了

我不覺得那個人傻，因為他的誠實讓我不用承受那損失

真的…超感謝他的\"\"
